For our client, an international bank, in Prishtina, Kosovo we are looking for:

OPERTAIONAL RSIK OFFICER

Responsible to assist the Risk Manager with the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework, with a specific focus on risk analysis.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Updating Operational Risk Policy and Procedures to ensure that the policy reflect best practice.
  • Aggregating and analyzing risk events reported by the business units into the Basel 2 categories.
  • Performing a monthly reconciliation between the risk events reported to Risk Management Department.
  • Performing root cause analyses on identified risk events to recommend improvements to prevent these risk events from re-occurring in future.
  • Assisting the staff responsible for operational risk incidents reporting with the identification of key risk indicators in their business units.
  • Monitoring the implementation of action plans to address medium and high risk indicators reported monthly to Risk Management Department.
  • Analyzing identified trends in the key risk indicators reported to Risk Management Department.
  • Assisting the Risk Manager in preparing reports of the Operational Risk.
  • Utilizing mathematical and statistical knowledge to assist with the building of risk models in support of Operational Risk Management.
  • Assisting the Risk Manager in preparation of different risk management reports based on the department needs.

  • At least 2 years banking experience;
  • Good knowledge of English Language;
  • Experience in risk management, operational risk environment or MIS is recommended;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP and T-SQL is desirable;
  • Be able to identify weaknesses in Bank systems, as well as the causes of the identified weaknesses;
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in the field of economics, finance, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, IT or other relevant fields.
